Introducing the Newest Class in the British Pedal Car Championship – PCA
Introducing the Newest Class in the British Pedal Car Championship…
What is PCA?
PCA is a new age category for teams in which all drivers are under 18 at the start of the year.
For the 2019 season, this means that all the drivers will have been born on or after 1st January 2001.
What is it for?
PCA is an effort to bridge the gap (real or perceived!) which there is between racing in under 16’s class (PC2) and competing for overall race wins in PC1.
How does it work?
Just the same as any other age category.
Entries in PCA will, of course, still score points in PC1 just as everyone does.
How many drivers will be allowed?
Same as PC1 and PC2.
4 drivers in the car for all races except the 24 hours of Shenington where 6 will be allowed.
Will PC2, PC3 and PC4 cars also score points in PCA?
Yes, of course, they are all under 18 after all.
How will I recognise PCA cars?
PCA cars have white numbers on an orange back ground.
