And if we have to go somewhere else on that Sunday then there's all the kit to deal with so my suggestion was purely based on what was easiest.

I did bring a marquee several times to Curborough but it was decided it wasn't needed any more so didn't last year. However, could be again if it would help.

The tearoom does look like a possibility!

Well we've been to most things around coventry

The national motorcycle museum is probably too expensive.

In a similar area what about

http://www.wythall.org.uk/index.asp
http://www.bclm.co.uk/visiting/venue-hire/66.htm
http://dudleycanaltrust.org.uk/

or more outdoor http://www.museumofcannockchase.org/visitor-services/

Slightly in Alans direction

https://bletchleypark.org.uk/visit-us/groups
http://www.tnmoc.org/visit/corporate-group-visits

(For those who know me i went there in the 80's as a P.O Telephones Apprentice doing my Strowger courses and even then there was nothing on display or mentioned about what went on there - still all hush hush)

I did look at Pendon Museum which i know Chris & Jes will love but don't think they have any rooms for a meeting but might be worth asking https://www.pendonmuseum.com/visit/

I Myself don't really care where we hold it provided its warm, i can get a tea and a sandwich and its within an hour to 90 minutes of home. So for me Curborough area is probably furthest north. Don't really care about things to do since committee don't really get to look around but if we are to attract people to it maybe we do need to offer something.

So, are you now veering towards the day after Curborough?

For myself no, i think most people will just want to get home, look at how many have stayed in the past when there has been HPV races or the Astons.

However lets ask a selected set of team managers to see what they think.

If enough are interested and we can find somewhere local to Curborough then I would be happy with that rather than making another journey just for a meeting later in the year.
I think on site at Curborough in a marquee with the noise of cars on the track is not really viable though.

I think then we need to ask who will stay since we need enough to make it viable

I will stay but i'm not team manager anymore (Kevin or James is) i doubt they will since kevin is hinting he isn't even staying overnight.

Alan, do you want a poll on here or do we email team managers to canvas opinion?

I think an email and/or asking on Facebook is best as I don't think many people use this forum.
It doesn't have to be the team manager, just a nominated representative (one per team).

Well at least we can say we've asked, they can't then complain if they don't reply

Alan

Due to lack of responses from the circa 25 Teams we have registered.
Please avoid October Half Term and 24-26 Nov if possible.
Pick a date late Oct/Early Nov when you and Mark are available since we really need Chairman & Treasurer to be present.
select a mutually convenient (cost effective) venue from prior suggestions or anywhere else you fancy.
If it has "entertainment" it should help attendance but teams also need to be made aware that championship trophies will be presented at the AGM not Curborough as agreed last year.

If we can offer a "dial in / skype" option that could be beneficial.

Its then up to teams to decide to attend or not, we can't please everyone.

If teams don't like your decision they always have the option of proposing changes at the AGM or help out by volunteering to join the committee/officers/organisers.
