It is quite possible that Bob has more entries than we know about. It's a shame he isn't on this forum so we can ask!

Committee

Due to Sky Sports putting back the Man City / Man United Derby a day it falls on the day of the first round at Shrewsbury. As most of our team are season ticket holders and this includes parents who transport us Team 105 will not be at the first race. We will be at Bruntingthorpe as a Team but unfortunately I can't be there due to me being at Windsor as my son Mark has been invited to attend the St George's Day Service as he has been awarded his Queens Scout Award and his D of E Gold Award. A proud day for all our Scout Group, Team and Family.

On a finer note Team 105 Racing were nominated at the Manchester a City Council Be Proud Awards, we didn't win but for such a prestige event to include our Team in the Catergory of Young Achievers of the Year and Team of the Year was a Credit to all.
Scouting and Pedal Car Racing are at the forefront of what we do and to be recognised by our City Council finished a great season for our Team.

Regards

Gary

Congratulations on the awards and nomination!
Sorry to hear you won't be at Shrewsbury but look forward to seeing you later in the year.

Hi, everhyone. I am ready for shrewsbury and have visited the site etc.
I will have a gazebo, table etc, all i need for control for that day, first aid kit, flags etc.
I assume the lap counting will come with someone and that Phil Owen will be there.
I can arrange trophies once we know entries.
Lets wait for 1st March and see what we have as entries.
I have received no entries direct. I was not looking out for them as I understood I was only controller on the day.
I will do what every is needed.
Regards to all.
Robert

Hi Gary

I can't think of a better reason for Explorers/Scouts to be missing a race than to be getting Queens Scout and Gold DofE. Congratulations to you both.

Thanks Robert, sorry for any confusion. Did I send you the "team info" from the last Shrewsbury event? I thought I did. Hope this is helpful.

Are Shrewsbury reconciled to us brewing our own tea??

Well, Geoff was round last night and we were saying that Apollo & Swebbelli often do a pre-season test day but this year there wasn't time because of the date of Easter etc.

Shrewsbury is providing us with a much cheaper alternative what with the BFPCR footing the bill for the track and everything :) .

Hopefully we'll get Wing to make it a Magnificent Seven. ..

On a more serious note, there are a few teams I have spoken to who are intending to join in for round 2 onwards.

When the dust settles we need to analyse this sensibly and unemotionally to see what went wrong whether it be date, location or just plain bad luck.
