Re: Pit Lane and Safety

Curborough and Solihull we could insist that all equipment, tents, chairs, people, etc are 2 or 3 mtrs away from the edge of the track. You can only step forward to change drivers and service the car. We cant do this at Wombwell (especially the bottom pits), Blackbushe or Shenington. Bruntingthorpe ...

Re: Pit Lane and Safety

The accident wasnt caused by the AAC car pulling into the pits as their tent was the other end of the pits. The driver of the AAC car just turned the car suddenly across the track and ran 25 off the circuit. Had it been a faster car the AAC car hit, then it could have been a lot worse. The lamppost ...

Re: 20% Rule

If the car had mechanical problems and was out for race 2 and being worked on, and was fixed ready for race 3, then I can see there being a valid objection by the team. It would have meant race 1 - 27 laps, race 2 - 1 lap, race 3 - 22 laps and was potentially possible. The reality is the car was par...

Re: 20% Rule

I disagree with going against the rule book, it will come back and bite us. The car did one lap at the beginning of race 2 and stopped. Had they kept going for the full 4 hours on a really bad car and missed out, then we may considered it. Other teams in the past have lost championships due to this ...

Re: Wombwell Feedback

Radical idea, but we could start the season in the South (where it is suppose to be warmer) and have Wombwell in the summer. We could try and get Blackbushe in March or April 2016. With trees on three sides it could be better sheltered from the wind. I know in the past it has flooded so it might flo...

Re: 20% Rule

So back to the original question. Do we give a championship point to the last place car at Wombwell who didn't complete 20% of the laps. The rules say they get 0 points. In the past we have not awarded points to teams who have failed to achieve the magic 20% figure. I need a decision from the commit...

Re: 20% Rule

A few years ago Sharnbrook Scouts failed to do 20% of the leaders laps at Solihull. If they had been given the points it would have changed the results of the PC4 championship. Two years ago at Curborough, our car broke its steering not long into the race. If we didn't get the car fix we wouldn't ha...

Re: 20% Rule

We dont want to turn anyone away, fast or slow and the young drivers are the future of this sport. Saying that we lapped 3 cars at Wombwell before they had even completed their first lap. How do we make it safer and make the slower cars faster so they are don't become slow moving objects to avoid. O...

Re: Wombwell Feedback

I agree with Jes on not having pits at C on a clockwise direction race. We didnt hit 50kph, but we did hit Jes a lot in the rear at this corner and the next. They couldnt see him through the spray. Pit A has the advantage of being able to see more of the track and easier to get to the two furthest p...
