Bruntingthorpe information
Event information
Bruntingthorpe returns for 2017 for round two, with a more traditional 6-hour format ending at 6pm to give more time for teams wishing to go home directly after the race to do so. Bruntingthorpe remains the twistiest track used by the BPCC for several years and as such will be something ‘new’ for some teams, where handling, car control, traffic management and driver skill must come to the fore while aerodynamics and outright top speed take a back seat. Uniquely amongst BPCC events there is also a properly segregated pit lane, with Armco and everything! Racing will start at 12 noon and the chequered flag will drop at 6pm.
Directions from the Security Hut
Once past the security hut at the entrance, turn right (north west) and drive along past the small hangars on your right, then turn left onto the main taxiway parallel to the runway. Drive down the taxiway, past the various hard standing dispersal areas with all the aircraft, and keeping to the far left side, to the left of the cones / plastic barriers to avoid straying onto the motor vehicle test area which is often home to high speed motor vehicles. Eventually you will arrive at the hard-standing area on the left that is the car park / pit area. |
